Disper-1000, typically available as dispersible tablets, is a medication where the tablet can be dissolved in water to form a drinkable suspension, which aids in easier swallowing and faster absorption. The function of Disper-1000 depends entirely on its active ingredients, which could be an antibiotic (e.g., amoxicillin) or a combination of anti-inflammatory enzymes (e.g., trypsin, bromelain, rutoside). 

Ingredients of Disper-1000

  • Amoxicillin 1000 mg:A semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic that works by killing bacteria and preventing their growth.
  • Trypsin, Bromelain, and Rutoside (Disperzyme):A combination of enzymes and an antioxidant that works to reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation by increasing blood flow to the affected area and breaking down proteins involved in the inflammatory process.
  • Divalproex Sodium (Diproex):An anticonvulsant and mood stabilizer that calms overactive nerve signals in the brain. 

Uses of Disper-1000:

The uses vary based on the ingredients:

  • Amoxicillin-based:Treatment of various bacterial infections in the ears, lungs (pneumonia, acute bronchitis), sinuses, skin, and urinary tract. It is also used in combination therapies to treat  pylori infections and duodenal ulcers.
  • Enzyme-based (Disperzyme):Relief of pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sprains, strains, and post-operative or post-injury recovery.
  • Divalproex-based (Diproex):Management of epilepsy/seizures, manic episodes in bipolar disorder, and prevention of migraine headaches.
